the reading i am after on a cycle is 0-0 (nitrite/ammonia) now is this 12hrs after i have added ammonia ? or at the same time
right i feed ammonia to get nitrites which then turn to nitrates after they have been used is this correct ?
now if i have added ammonia that is getting eaten straight away does that mean i will have nitrites or is this processed at the same time as ammonia or is it needed in the water to be eaten for a period of time
i think my problem is i have added ammonia and the 1 hr latter i am checking it instead of the following day

reason i am asking is i had a reading of 0-0 and then added ammonia and then tested toos soon for nitrites and came up with 0.25ppm 
well at least i know the ammonia is getting processed lol
