As title and description says...
I really could use some suggestions for a dechlorinator that will make the harmful bacteria into the nonharmful kind? heh
You know what I mean! :p

The ammonia in our main tank keeps rising no matter how often I do water changes.. NM that I've used Bio-Spira on it twice now.
Our tap does have an ammonia reading of 0.25 so IF this is the reason why our tank keep getting ammonia readings.. I would like to get something that will at least turn it into something that won't harm the fish.

So yeah... any help would be great!
Right now I have Amquel (haven't been using it.. using another dechlorinator) but I'm not sure if it just gets rid of all the ammonia or what.

Get a bottle of Prime.

I'm surprised your bacteria aren't eliminating it. I also have ammonia in my water, but it's usually gone by the next day.

Prime. :good: I double dose with it all winter long, as my water gets nasty at times.

Yeah I dunno what the heck is going on *shrugs* Nothing sprayed, nothing removed, water changes like normal. Eased up on gravel vacs to let bacteria build up in gravel. Only cleaned the filterbag and other tank equipment in tank water that was being changed out.. etc etc...

I'll be sure to check out Prime if the petstore has it.. which I'm sure they will!
Hopefully we'll be going tomorrow or Saturday :)
Thanks for the suggestion!
