I have just bought a Juwel Rio 400. my previous experience is a 10 litre tank my son got as a present which I upgraded to a 70 litre tank for him about a year ago, then I got bitten by the bug.
Someone I know was sellling his 400 litre so I am picking it up on Saturday.
I would like to know what your suggestions you are for stocking as I am considering anything at present.
I would say that I am not overly keen on plants and so was thinking of cichlids but on the other hand I do not want to be restricted to just one type of fish. I am also very keen on different types of catfish.
What would any of you recommend especially as I have not got a lot of experience, although I have spent a lot of time reading forums!!!

Can't suggest which fish, but with it being a juwel i would invest in another filter,l as juwel filters are not very good.

Corydoras are good catfish to own, as they don't get very big and are alot of fun to watch. Watch out if you are getting catfish, some of them get really big, like several feet big ^^. Livebearers are good starter fish, and they are relatively inexpensive ... not to mention they make cute little baby fish with little effort on your part. Cichlids are cool looking, but I've never had any, I don't have a big enough tank. Anyways, good luck and have fun setting everything up. :)

What are the fish that you keep in yours?
