well i have a 125 gallon tank i just purchased used(hell of a deal). right know it has about 13 chiclids but i want to go with a community tank(anyone interested in chiclids). it has 2 ehiem 2217 canisters with two power heads. Im going to purchase a bio wheel for one of the filters. I think theres plenty of filtration though. Im going to use his old media with several of the plants and decorations so i can eliminate a new cycle. 3/4 of the gravel will be cleaned with dechlorinated water and reused the rest will remain dirty for the usefull bacteria.

Now Stocking!!!! The fun part

long fin white clouds
a few pairs of german blue rams
& Bulivian rams
a few different spieces of rainbows
some dwarf Gouramis Several spieceis???
of course a school of corys
school of neon
candy striped pleco
snowball pleco
some royal emperor tetras & black
topsail platy
splashing tetra
botia loaches
maybe some swordtails
and was wondering how a pair of killfish would go along

these r some of the fish i am highly thinking about. i got 125 gallons that is not going to be heavily planted but enough hiding spots for all the little guys. So have some fun and lets see what great stocking ideas you all can come up with. add or delet any fish u think ur favorite 125 would have. :kana: :D

Thanks again
Billy

i would keep an oscar in mine for sure! but in this case, not a good idea :p

Your choices sound good if you ask me, you have all community fish species in there, just maybe the rams might be annoying but in a tank this size, i doubt they will!

Just watch out with blue rams and dwarf gouramis, they are prone to desease. I would just stick to Bolivian Rams and mayeb Keyholes and get honey gouramis if you want something that stays small

Also, some killies would work - such as American-flag fish but there are others that need a species tank. If you have a specific species in mind, do a search here and on google and I'm sure you'll get your answers - if not, well then you should ask. :)

Make sure you fishless cycle first ;) (read link in sig. if necessary)

yea they r mostly africans will be getting them this weekend but have a list.

a few dif peacocks
some red zebra
2 severum
sometype of rainbow???
2 Acei
2 Kenni
and a few hes not to sure about

this i what he told me i will be getting the fish this weekend so ill know more then

You arleady know this, but make sure you don't add to many fish to fast, as you need to make sure the tank still is properly cycled.

(sorry had to say it)
