Like most folks do, I'm starting to get a teensy weensy bit hacked off with my Juwel Trigon 190's internal filter.
I know the standard advice is something like, "grab the spatula, whip out the casing, drill some holes in your lid, fit an Eheim". But here's the thing, I don't have great access to the sides & back of the tank so I really don't want an external. Instead I was thinking of running a pair of internals in the tank. I know that internals never perform as well as a good external but can anyone see any reason why I could not go down this route?
I currenty have a spare Fluval U3 which is suitable for 90 - 150 litre tanks - could I run a pair of these in the tank or would I be better with a single U4 which is suitable for 130 - 240 litres? Or perhaps I could mix & match - a U3 & an Eheim Aquaball for eaxmple?
