im not really a noob but i felt its a noob question.
i have a new starry night eel...member of the spiny eels..well i have a few questions.
since the SNE is very hard to find research on and not many people have experience with them, they are generaly like all spiny eels.
so ive got a 20 planted that hes in with my bichir and whiptail plec. hes burried himself all the way under the sand and i can never find him. for a day or twe hed lay in the same area and i could find him by tapping on the glass to see the sand move.
now, hes probably anywhere in the tank and i dont want to go around tapping the glass to see the sand move to find him.
anybody know foods to draw him out?? any way of catching him? i even wait till the moon light is on and see if he comes out but never.
if i can catch him id like to add him to my 36 gallon. hes very very tiny now so theres no threat to my fish. i thought itd be easier for him to feed in that tank too! there are many different types of substrate and hiding places...ghost shrimp, and much more food to find.
will this be a good idea? i probably wouldnt see him in my 36 but at least hed find more to eat.
the real problem now is that fact that i cant find him.
sorry for the stupid questions but i really am stumped at this point.
