Hi all.

I really need some help scaping my tank. I have a load of plants, but they seem to be all over the place. I kinda liked it at 1st but its just starting to look a mess now.

Any ideas?

This pic doesnt really do it justice to be honest.

Was thinking about moving all the bog wood to one side, build it up? and have all the plants on the other side. Or would that just look naff?

Also... Would it be possible to connect some of my smaller plants to some of my bog wood? like my amazon aword maybe? and how would I go about doing that?

If you want to put some plants on your wood you need some java fern or anubias or some sort of moss.

I would move your wood to one side like you mentioned, another tip is to plant in bunches, so the plants at the front - are they small swords? - put them together

Also you seem to have only background plants, vallis and cabomba (which could do with a trim - just cut it and replant it - in bunches close together) do not trim the vallis though but that could also go to the back

It looks good, just needs a bit of arranging :good:

Firstly, nice tank, love the Discus

For me, all i see at first is the Vallis & the rock dead centre. The planting is linear, left to right so you might want to work on braking those lines up.
You've got some nice wood in there, personally i'd arrange more of the hardscape to one side, and use the background plants behind them.Go for a more triangular scape PARC-scaping guide
Hope this doesn't come across as too critical, they're only ideas, and i'm no expert. i still like what you've done.

What's floating at the surface?
