i have a 60l tank with several live plants and no matter what i do i cant get it to look how i want.

the plants i have are:
5 stems of cabomba
3 shoots of amazon sword
3 shoots of a plants similar to amazon sword but a bit smaller
1 small plant i dont know what it is called
another small grass like plant i dont know.
2 stems of a tall plant dont know what its called

the pictures of the plants i dont know the names of (bottom 3) are below in order of how they are written above.

for the hardscape i have half a plant pot, the spirilay piece of wood, a slate thing and a cave. i have an internal filter (on the left) which i would like to hide with plants. ideally i would like a bunch of plants on the left that cover the filter. like it is in the pictures below but i dont think it looks very good.

what i would love would be if someone could tell me how they would lay it out as though the tank was empty and they were starting from scratch with what i have. oh and i use api leaf zone a few days a week no co2. some pictures are below to help i changed it today to roughly how i would like it but i still dont like it. i dont really know how to lay out plants in order to get perspective etc.

I think it looks nice. I'd throw in some large moss balls to outcompete the algae this is likely to come.

Main thing would be to get more plants- cabomba would be nicest. Then the wood and flowerpot would probably be better placed a bit more to the left- see where the botton of the wood is in the third from last picture? Flowerpot about there facing towards the right front corner area, try moving the wood so the bottom is in roughly the same place but the top nearer the top left hand back corner.

The shorter plants should go further forward as well.

ok thanks. i was looking at pictures on the internet and people have huge clumps if plants to one side, all different type. i know they have high tech lights and co2 but i would like to have similar thing without all the equipment

oh i have 1 t5 15w white tube

Personally I think having only one type of background plant looks better, it's much easier to scape and there's no tricky business with finding plants that 'match'. You could certainly do it in a big clump towards the left side, but in general if that's what you want you have to be minimalistic with species and hardscape.
