Okay, a while back I bought a firemouth cichlid for my thirty gallon. However, when I actually went to pick it up (special order) I was shocked to find that he was barely an inch long! So I had to stick him in my ten gallon because my pictus in the thiry would probably eat him, but then he decided to try and eat the cories eyes out, so he had to go into a breeding net in the thirty anyways. I'm worried he won't grow as fast while in the net, but the only way I can let him out is if the pictus is either out of the tank, or if I can find something that is big enough for the fire to hide out in but not big enough for the pictus to get to him in. But I don't want to risk stressing the fire out like the pictus did to my molly, so now I'm almost thinking of selling the pictus or having someone babysit it for me or something. The fire is about an inch long while the pictus is about three and a half inches long. I don't know what to do, I know the answer is obvious but for the life of me I just don't know what I should try out. I'm just stupid right now.
