Does anyone have any pics of any tanks with nothing but guppies? Am I the only one who wonders what say a 55 gallon tank would look like stocked full of guppies?

Hi Iron Man :)

I'll try to take some pictures of my 20 gallon Guppy tank later today.(Rushing out to somewhere right now!) It doesn't have JUST Guppies, because it has a few Cories on the bottom...but Guppies are the main focus. Just Male Guppies, though.

Meanwhile, I found this picture a while ago, and I thought it looked pretty nice.

Actually Iron Man, I think it would look awesome. If I wasn't so committed to my swordies I'd probably do one of my big tanks in guppys. Hmmm....maybe I'll convert one of my 10 gallons to a guppy tank!

Thanks Annastasia.

You got the idea I had. It can have some other fish like catfish or something but the main content would be male guppies. In fact....I couldn't imagine a tank without catfish....it would just be missing something. -_-

I know some wouldn't agree with putting just males in there but I've read some breeders say its good to seperate the sexes of younger guppies as they grow better and display better color while developing. If you seperate the sexes both sexes forget about reproduction and put their energy elsewhere, though you might get a little aggression here and there sometimes.

That pic does look nice and its along the lines of what I was asking for. I especially think they look real nice with the planted theme.

Thanks again!

Okay, I'm sure you're going to be dissappointed, because there are not many Guppies in the tank at the moment. The last fry batches, which were a while ago, were mostly females. ANYWAY...here's the light part of the tank. The other portion is shaded, so if they want to get out of the light, they can. Most of the Guppies hang out over there, and it is very hard to take pictures, over there...so these pictures do not have many Guppies in them.

And a few of the brothers in there:

And one more Guppy brother, in a different portion of the tank (Ignore the WC, he is no longer in there):

And yes, I stink at taking pictures of tanks.

I did a thread a while back on show guppys, which contains loads of links with fantasic pics of them;

It hasn't got much in the way of tanks, but its got many, many types/varitions of guppys  .
I also think a tank with lots of guppys would be awesome, i plan to get 30 guppys to fill my 200gal when i get it amoungst other livebearers- livebearers rule :D !

WOW those are some great looking guppies! :)

I'm partial to the blues, but all the colors look great. Annastasia that guppy in the bottom pic is spectacular.....is it a special kind?

Uh...well...not that I'm aware of!
Just a guppy that came out of a yellow mother, and red father. I'm actually surprised how hardy he is...seems like that was a pretty good line. He's been with me for at least 3 years.
