When I first got my 10g I was planning to put some harlequin rasboras in it. Well the lfs didn't have any and I didn't know at the time that they would order them for me. So I bought what they had, which was pristella tetras (I wanted schooling fish). Now they have the rasboras and after seeing them today I'd really like to have some. BUT I wasn't sure if it would be overstocking if I move my 4 pristellas from the 10 gallon into my 20 gallon (you can see what is already in my 20 by checking my sig line) so that I could put 6 rasboras in my 10 gallon. Would the 20 gallon be too overstocked? Should I just stick with what I already have??

I don't see a problem of moving them to the 20. None of your fish are especially messy, and a little overstocking won't hurt unless you tend to slack in the maintenance department.

I agree. You could even put the pristellas and the harlequins together as long as you don't buy more than 5 or so. (6 pristellas right?)

Thanks to both of you! I think what I might do is 6 or 7 rasboras and the 3 glo lite tetras from my big tank in the 10gallon and then put the 4 pristellas that are currently in the 10 gallon into the big tank.

My biggest concern now is acclimatising the pristellas since my 10g has basically zero nitrates and the 20g is usually 10-20. I'll be sure to do it slowly over an hour or two.
