need new internal filter

any ideas

currently ha fluval u4. - it keeps requiring cleaning weekly lately.

the tank is a juwel trigon 190 liters

You cant do a better internal than a U4, if that needs cleaning so regularly, it shows that the tank is overstocked. Not on the size of the tank but the capacity of the filter. Internal filters will always by a hindrance on stocking a tank as they just arent good enough to cope with too much waste be it fish or plant.

You are far better off getting an external filter mate! A small external to run alongside your U4 will cost you the same as getting another U4 (which is the other alternative....) or get a decent sized external filter and do away with the U4 altogether. (306/406 fluval, ex700 or ex1200 tetratex, EFX 300 or EFX 400 Aquamanta)
