OK so I've got my (new) 1 yr old 600L into the living room, half full, sorting through the bin of plants. Some have huge!! roots - do I trim them back? Some seem to have snapped off right above the root- are these ok to plant or toss? I seem to have about 8 different species including many healthy looking specimens. Substrate is ADA with a net separating it from gravel. ADA got a little messed up during the move, I was warned about this, hoping that combined filtration & water changes will help resolve cloudiness.
Thanks for the help!

well, the way i see it, how do they sell plants? Just a trimmed stem most of the time? Occasionally they have grown roots when you buy them. So i would say, if you have to trim the roots, and if the roots have snapped off and still doing fine then there is no problem, they will soon grow again, given enough light and substrate nutrition :)

600 litres? NICE!

Trim them, they will grow and cement themselves in your substrate eventually and grow strong with the right nutrition and care as mentioned.

James.
