need Melafix info

Will Melafix cure diseases like dropsy? It seems like a universal med. The bottle really doesnt give much info... thanks in advace

i dont think so dropsy is one of those diseases that if the fish wants to pull around from it it will.

melafix will cure many others like fin rot and ulcars

If you have caught it in time the only thing that will help is an internal bacteria med and salt.

Thanks, I already put 2 of my fish that had dropsy down..., they weren't going to make it. I'm trying to save the other 2...

Sorry for your losses, the two survivers there scales are not sticking out like a pinecone, what med will you be using.

No melafix is more for external fin torns medication.

I first used internal parasite med... no luck at all. Then I tried fungus crystals... it really seemed to work but then the fish went back to being swollen after a few days. I just bought some more tablets today... I hope they work.

Not taking a pop but you should never add meds to the tank if you are not sure what they are suffering from, you will weaken the fish immune system with adding all them meds to his tank.
