We are about to start building on a stand to hold 2 30 gallon tanks stacked. I'm thinking about 4 ft from floor with start the first tank base (cabinets below in 4 ft area) - there will be about a 1 foot area where the hood/flip lid will be at teh top of the tank an the ceiling part to that will be the base of the upper tank. Then that tank would also have the 1 ft area for hood/flip up thing.

So from top to bottom on both sides will be solid wood, so the only veiw will be front veiw. Back will be opened completely an we are contemplating wheels for easy movement to acess the back.

I love the idea of it in my head but I feel like I'm missing something. Any inpput?

Thanks, Tabby

I knew a guy who bought a 55 gallon stand and hood for his two 30 gallon tanks (set up side by side) I think it was a 55 gallon (man getting old sucks  ). Anyhow that's another option.

I don't know if you'd move the tank about that would nessesatate wheels. But there are steel castors that will do the trick (I should know I did that for a Sump at a shop before). It can be blended well enough that you hardly see them.
