Hey, I really want a moray eel. But seeing as I can't turn my tank into a brackish one, I need a good alternative. Preferably something that looks similar. And no polyupterous's (sp???lol) Thanks, john

How bout a weather loach?

You could try one of the Asian spiney eels such as a peacock eel or fire eel. They are not as predatory as the moray eels and spend their entire lives in freshwater so dont present as many problems, as long as your other fish are all over three inches they are community safe.

Was going to suggest fire or large spiny eels but you beat me to it They do like hard water.
