I have a 2ft fish tank. I was wondering what to do with it. I was hoping you could give me ideas. I was thinking of having maybe one fish in there. A 6-10" fish maybe. There is a 7" RTS at my LFS. But i want YOUR ideas!!

How many gallons is that....? Hey, you should *totally* get a sorority of female Bettas! ^^; Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.... Get some livebearers, which are colourful; umms.... A school of neon tetras, cardinal tetras, zebra danios....

Sorry, can't help you much more than that. I'm just going by what *I* would have. XD

Is it cycled? :/

I think so. I havent had the water tested but it has had 3 plecos in and a tiny RTS for the past 3-4 months.
Its 18 UK gallons about 21 US gallons.
Oooh the female betta sounds nice. I just would'nt know how to tell if there female :S.

Female Bettas have shorter fins. ^^; You go to mainly any fish store; you will find that they have a rack for female Bettas (usually). They have the little ovipositor (white ball beneath the anal fin) on the bottom of them. You have to introduce them all at the same time, and *at least* 6; and there will *probably* be some fighting for a day or so, while they establish a hierarchy. It should be fine, thoughs; I find that the females who live alone in those little cups in the store are usually more friendly, simply because, 1) they haven't been together and haven't established any sort of dominant-subordinate system, and, 2) if they are together in the store, you can almost guarantee fighting and killing, because there is already a hierarchy there, and say, if you take a bully and a few subordinates home, then the bully will kill the others.... DX It doesn't always work out. But, heys; it's always worth it to give it a try, noo????! ^^; >8D

In a tank that size, you can probably have about 6 to 14 females -- I'd stay with a smaller number, if you want to have some more fish in there laters. :) ^^; :3 >:D
