Need Help With Water Fungus.

About two days ago my CT Betta died from what looked like a fungus. It was white little spores floating around. Now I had done an immediate partial water change in the ten gallon and went to have him replaced. The following day the new CT Betta started to grow the same little fungus on his scales. I immediately quarantined him in some confident water from a nearby 29 gallon. Right now i'm doing an even more severe water change on the 10 gallon Any ideas of whats going on?

Any scratching/rubbing on items in the tank?
Any heavy or increased breathing rate?
Are gills gaping?
Are the gills inflamed?

Get a magnifying glass on the fungusy growth on his scales if it looks like this:

Then it's gyrodactylus aka skin flukes. They do float around then they attach themselves to a host.

Oh, real encouraging. Thanks. So far I have been treating the 10 gal with Maracyn-Two. Its been about 48 hours of treatment.
