I have a blue betta named Oscar i have had him for about a year and kept jim in a 1g betta bowl for a long time and did 100% weekly water changes and fed him every other day. He completely stopped eating for a while and now is super skinny and bug eyed... I dont know what to do really. I have battle fin rot twice with him when he was in a 10g community tank with lots of current and a couple fin nippers (my husband put him in there and said he would be fine). I dont know if there is realy anything i can do. right now he hardly eats and i think he might be dying. Ive tried frozen blood worms and he normally gobbles them right now and now he doesnt seem interested in it. He still does bubble nests but not like he use to do. I moved him to a 5g with a cana snail ( a plant eating snail) with a filter and some plastic decor. If i were to put real plants in there the snail would eat them all. He use to be a a real beautiful shade of blue with reddish tent to his body and now he is a dark and dingy shade and his fins are starting to turn blueish white... Is there anything i can do to help him recover or is he just getting old and dying? any adviceto help will would be super. I hate seeing him like this and to me it looks like he is suffering.
