ok so i just picked up 3 girls to go in my sorority tank today 1 who so far still appears to be solid black, 1 who is black with blue sheen on her fins and very lightly over her spine, and the third who is the shyest of them all has finally colored up to reveal that she is suprise suprise balack with deep purple/red fins. when i picked out the last girl her color was very pale. all you could really tell from her color was that she had reddish fins and at the time a brownish body. when i first picked them out they all seemed fine, but now that i have them out of thier cups 2 of them seem to have small a patch or two of grey on them that is hardly even noticeable. i had a male who had something like this before but i cant remember what it was or how to treat it. for now i cant get any pictures of it, but will try tomarrow if needed. for the moment they have a bit of melafix in thier water with salt. i have meracyn 2, but it doesnt look like it will treat what i need it to treat so what should i use?? your help would be much apreciated.

I named my girly bettas after the Disney Princesses. With Tinkerbell thrown in cos she's awesome. And a random character from Hollyoaks. Name em after flowers. Or clothes designers. Or Disney pricnesses. :)

Are the gray patches cottony? Can you get a picture, or at least describe it in more detail?

i can't really help with medicating, i've never had to worry about that (yet).
but for names, why not a themed name? mine all have musically-related names (the girls that is)

puppyduck - one of my boy's is aladdin. do you have a jasmine?

one of the two has cottony patches and the other it is hard to tell with. i'll try to get some pics in a bit.

any one atleast able to help with medicating?? im not sure but one of them looks to be a young pk....... still unable to get decent pics.
