Need Help With Jewel Cichlid

Well, I just purchased a male Jewel Cichlid and was wondering would a Salvini be compatable with it? I was going to get a female salvini.

How about a female convict or a female krib? Would they cross?

if you have just a male putting in him with any other fish will most likely end up with just
a male jewel cichlid.
