What is the best way to get rid of ich in planted as well as scaleless fish tank (45 gal)

Add a whitespot med to the tank. Make sure you can use full dose for scaless, and sensitive fish in the instructions booklet.

Increase aeration.
Remove black carbon from filter.
Raise temp to 30.
Then add the med. Follow instructions carefully.

i had ich...best to know why you got it first, it seems unhealthy fish get it, my reason was crappy water quality...anyway i wacked the temp up on my tank but not sure thats a good idea for you as youve got plants...someone on here with more knowledge will help, good luck, claire

raised temp has no need for meds i was told, ich stops reproducing at that temp...so leave it at 30 for ten days...hey presto...ich gone...

Don't just raise the temp. You need to add salt also. But I wouldn't advise this method if you have scaless fish.

I would treat whitespot with a med.
