Need Help With Heater

Hi all, my heater in my 100 litre constantly turns off & on (its a fish R fun 200Watt heater) it spends 2 minutes on & 1 1/2 minutes off I keep the temp up at around 82-84*F because I'm in the middle of a cycle

Do you mean the light on the heater?
If so, when the light goes off it means that the water is at the tempreture you want it set at.
When the light goes on, it means the water needs warming up to get it to the desired tempreture.

All heaters do that. it's the thermostat, regulating the temperature of the tank - if it were on all the time or off all the time, i would get too hot/cold. if it WEREN'T doing it there would be a problem
