Hey everyone, one of my fish has really bad fin rot, have treated my malawi set up with interpet fin rot treatment and directed on bottle followed instructions and took out carbon from filter.

just checked on my fish about 3 hours later and noticed alot of the fish seem to have red or blood appearing on there fins.

Im worried i am going to kill my fish.

The blood is a result of fin rot, it eats away at the fins and blood can sometimes appear.

You aren't killing your fish.
Fin rot is a bacterial infection that often strikes fish with weakened immune systems. This weakening of the immune system could be due to fighting between fish where an injury becomes infected or due to poor water conditions.

Change 20-50% of your water and do as through a cleaning of the tank as you can. Keep an eye out for any bullies in your tank and consider removing them as fighting won't help the situation.

Add treatment to with the clean water and wait the 2 days or however long the treatment says you can between doses. Change water and clean the tank again and then add another dose. Keeping the water clean is very important :)
