Need Help With Dwarf Gouramis Plz!

Hi I recently purchased a pair of dwarf gouramis and my male fish keeps harassing my female one. The female just hides away all the time and doesnt seem to be eating either as when the she comes out the male just goes for her. I cant get another female as my LFS only sells them in pairs plus its only a 34l tank I have and I read that a trio wouldnt be recommeded for this size. I bought some more plants to try and give her some more coverage from him but im really worried about her and dont know what to do. would appreciate any reommendations to try and help her!

no not able to isolate her what are my other options to help, and why is the male acting like this towards her???

Two things.
The male will bully her to death best to have more females to rule this out.
Or she ill.
If you don't seperate them she will go down hill fast.
Even if its in a container at the top of the tank.

how long will i seperate her for. i do have a peaceful community tank i could put one of them in there to seperate them if so which one??

Interesting. I'm by no means a fish psychologist, however this is what i think.

Option 1: Send the female on vacation - practically guaranteed to help her with stress. But then when she is re-introduced into the other tank with the seemingly territorial other gourami he might get even more hot blooded.

Option 2: Send the male on an anger management course to the other tank. He will hopefully be shy for the first few days and then calm down. Then re-introduce him back to the other tank and hope he's less butch. The drawback with this is that he might just be a demon gouromi and might bully the community fish tank too lol.

Option 3: Charles Darwin approach - Survival of the fittest. If she cant adapt, then theres no point nanny culturing her
