Hi please can you help me my Angel Fish has one cloudy eye and is not eatting, i noticed last week that its fins were starting to look a bit ragged but did not look bad enough to be fin rot i think that my fish might have pop eye but im not sure because of the ragged fins as well PLEASE HELP would be so grateful.

A cloudy eye can be the sign of many things, ranging from bad water, to parasites, to a bacterial infection. To hlep us out, please post your water stats (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH), your tank size, and tank inhabitants.

Does the eye appear to be bulging out at all?

Need to know size of tank in gallons or litres, water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, is the eye bulging out with a white rim around it, sounds bacterial with the finrot as well.

 tttnjfttt posted at the same time.

No just one eye catarack like, water conditions as follows P.H a little low 5.5 Amonia 0.0 Nitrite 0.0 Nitrate 100 that always gose up when i do a water change got nitra zorb in tank for that

Bad water quality need to get them nitrates down, when did you last maintain your filter.

High nitrates can alter the ph.

My tank juwel tank and my filter is looked after well change top white filter every 5-7 days and black carbon one every month and the others are changed 3 month intervils.Done 20-25% water change last week its done monthly the only problem ive ever had is when i do that because of tap water so have to put Nite Zorb in thinking about changing to 5% weekly changes never had any diseases

Juwel filters are not that good, need to know tank size in gallons or litres, plus full stock list of fish, as high nitrates can be due to over stocking of a tank.

My tank is 180l fish are all full size youngest fish 2 years old 3 Angles, 2 three spotted gourami's, 1 Golden Gourami

Thats fine, right need tap ph, as it's different from the tank you cannot do large water changes, as it will stress and shock the fish, do you no your tap nitrate reading.
Best to gradually reduce the nitrate reading, also i would invest in another filter, i run two filters in all my tanks.

What is the nitrate and pH readings out of your tap? Your nitrates should not be over 100, that is very high, and probably the reason why your pH is so low.
I know that i cant remember how high it is from tap but its high that was why i was aqdvised to buy Nira Zorb and it works i have also put the bigger Juwel pump in but i hate to think my Angle is in any-way suffering as it is very close to its partner they have laid eggs twice on my filter i just want to treat it and know ive done everything that can be done any suggestions.

Do a tap ph test, also do a tap nitrate test and leave it for 24 hours, then get back to the board.

Cheer's will do that but in the mean time what do you think about my fishes cloudy eye do you think i should treat it as pop eye and put in interpet no 9
