Need Help With A Decision

Would you have a 20gal community tank and a 10gal shelly tank, or just the opposite?
If the 10gal for shellies I'll go with just multis, but if the 20gal then I'm going with multis and julies.
The community can include platies, bolivian rams, kuhli loaches, ADFs (basically just no rams if I go with the 10gal community tank).
I just can't decide.... please help!

I'd go with the 20gal community and the 10 gal shelly. Even a small shelly can be an active interesting environment, however IMO larger community tanks are more interesting and lively than smaller ones.
