~ Hey All ~

Im new to the forums and needed some help. Im setting up my 29 gallon tank as a Live plant South American tank. I have no experience in live plants or placement so need some pointers. My water has been cycling for about a month, and the plants have been in there for a week. I will probably buy a scoal of my dither fish this week so i need to re-arrange my plants if needed. My final stocking list will be 4 bolvian or german rams, 12 neon/cardinal tetras, 3-4 corys, bn pleco.

The plants that are in here from left to right are.

1x Anubus
1x Amazon sword
2x java fern i stuck on my driftwood
3x small anubs
4x jungle vali (i think)

I bought plants that I wouldnt have to mess with CO2 and ferts.

The anubias need to be attached to wood or rocks, like the java fern.

It is a good start. The plants will grow slow, but I have no reason to doubt that they won't grow with your setup and with your eventual stocking. I'd personally up the corys to about 8 or so. That won't impact your bioload much and you'll be rewarded with some nice corydora behavior. I'm slightly concerned that breeding bolivians will give the corydoras some trouble, but I've seen people here keep them together all the time.
