Need Help Sexing This Blue Acara

Looks to be a young male, but need to wait for it to grow a bit more.

I agree with the reverend its possibly a male from the shape of the head, trouble is young acara are very dificult to sex.

Male most likely. Pointed anal and dorsal fins.

Id go male to due to the sharply pointed dorsal fin although as has been stated, they are difficult to sex when young.

The male (bottom) has much longer fins, also note the flowing filament that has devoped, his age is about 16months (from spawning), the female is only a little smaller but she is also his mother and is 6 months+ older than him, plus she was store bought so proller add at least another 3-4 months there.
