ok first ill start off with this question

1. since now i am pretty much done stocking with 20 gallon tank, i'll be focusing on my plants,

1 very awful anubias which i just released from the ground and it is resting on the surface, ill hopefully get a rock for it soon
3 amazon swords with one having a runner with 3 new ones growing.
5 seperate money wort plants.

im also adding in every week a iron and potassium supplement called leaf zone.

my queston for this is where can i go from here and how can i try to save my anubias? any fool-proof plant layouts are great!

i might get pics tommora. thanks for responding as this is my first time in this part of the forum!

i also seem to be having GSA and some sort of blackish algae on the plants, i have heard increased filtration will help, is that true?

if you are a mod. please delete the mkI thread in the juornal section, it was 1:00 and i did not know what the heck i was doin :D

here i posted an add-on to this question here

just toook piccys of my plants (excuse the fish, they wont leave me alone!!)

they be uploaded in about 20 minutes.

my stats are fine

and gravel depth is 2"?

and i use aproduct called leaf zone, it seems to help.

my moneywort original stems are diening but the new growth is fine, can i snip it and replant the good portion while throwing away the old? youll see on the pics, i seem to be having a hard time with potobucket!

also i dont use co2, just the leaf zone, but with the cureent and future plants what should i be adding?

how was the anumbias planted when it was on the ground? did you bury the rhizome, or just the roots?

BBA is caused by poor circulation and poor CO2.
What are your lihgting levels? (Wattage & diameter)
How long have you had the plants?
Most plants are grown emmersed so they have to adapt to submersed conditions which is why the old moneywort is dieing and new growth is OK.

What defficiencies are the plants showing? Is it just melting?.... pinoles, yellow leaves, stunted growth... etc.

ok most of the stuff youll need are one the link in the first post.

i have had the moneywort since....may

the swords october

anubais august

for the $wort can i replant the new shoots or should i just leave as is?

the deficiancies are mostly leaves turning yellow to brown and fall off and slight algae coverage, the black stuff is on an ornament, however my otos have started a great cleanup job and the leaves look GAN

ok soi you have a low light/ low tech setup which ideally you should be limiting the water changes on to at least every 2 months so you are not fluctuating the CO2 levels every week,
this may be the cause of the BBA.
Try planting the anbias ion areas of shaded regions as this is where it gros best.
AS ong as there is at least 2cm of roots & a couple of leaves on the plantelets then you can pull them off. Thelonger you leave them the more/ better chance hey will have of survival/ growing quicker.

I would buy a different fertiliser that contains NPK & trace elements and dose on a weekly basis. If the defficencies continure then increase the frequency of the dose.

ok ill most likely be getting another filter (will this affect anything?)for christmas and i think i got java moss by accident(see in other thread) and NPK means nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium right? dos API sell this stuff? and most of the bba got eaten and the rest is not growing, so ill just leave the tank as is every 2 months.

no
and NPK means nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium right?

yes,

dos API sell this stuff?

No, i dont think so,
Seachem is about the best in the US. (seachem flourish) but it only contains a small percentage of N&P, but if necassary you can buy seperate bottles.
