Need Help O.o

hey all,
well i have recently bought my mum a 40L tank, but i can't figure out how i want to plant it
this is what it looks like at the moment- she insisted she wanted those plants ( i don't think they will last long though

The plant with the purple on it is the only fake plant in there- the only fake plant i allowed her to have
She also insisted on black gravel for the substrate, which was annoying because i wanted to put some ground cover.
The fish i am having in there are-
1 male betta
6-8 hengali rasboras

so what do you think??

How about a small piece of driftwood with a java fern on it as a centre piece? Or some java moss on the wood and have plants surrounding it?

These are low light plants which don't need any special attention (CO2 or ferts). I had a thread similar to yours and this is what people posted:
