I had a pair of german blue rams. About 2 days ago the male died and I found him under a large rock that was wedged in the sand. (How he got there I have NO idea.) Anyways after the male died, the female suddenly got what looks to me a blood blister or red pimple on her chin. I have heard that these could potentially be worms, but I REALLY hope not. I will be able to post a picture in maybe a few hours, I'm at work currently.
