Need Help For Tank Plant Stock

would it be bad per say to use both the CO2 and the seachem excel?? i intend to get my moneys woth out that thing lol

Plenty of people use them both in conjunction.

and am i right that if a leaf gets damaged itd be best to toss it?

It takes less energy for a plant to grow a new leaf than to repair an older one.
