Hi and welcome to the forum
If the aquarium is new and has new filters, then it is probably water quality. Check the water quality for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. If there is any ammonia or nitrite readings, or a nitrate reading above 20ppm, do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day until the readings are 0.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it is added to the tank.
Make sure the pH is not extreme in either direction.

Big cichlids are notorious for getting upset when moved and the fish could be stressing out. It takes time for fish to recover from being moved to a new tank. If the fish are in a quiet room and not many people go in there, that will make things worse.
If the fish are in a quiet room you can put a mobile in the room, (not above the tank) where the fish can see it. And have a small fan in the room. Tie some streamers (strips of plastic or material to the outside of the fan's cage. Have the fan on low and let it oscillate (move left to right and back again). The movement from the streamers and mobile can help the fish get use to movement in the room and they should calm down a bit more when you go in the room.
You can have a small television on in the room and the flashing light from the movies/ shows can help calm the fish too. You don't need a big tv or any sound.
Floating plants in the tank can help calm fish down and make them less nervous. Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides/ cornuta) is a good plant to try.
