Need Help Asap!

red oranda lionhead fancy goldfish
25g tank
0 ammonia
6 nitrite
aquaclear mini power filter (20G)
aquaclear powerhead (50G) which is hooked up to UGH reversed

My gold fish that i had purchased 6 days ago is acting funny. His symptoms are: he sometimes labourley gasps for air, he also kind of spazzes and start swimming in undefined directions for a second or 2. He eats well and is still active tho. and yes im trying hard to lower the nitrite by doin 30% water changes a day

If the 30% water changes aren't making the nitrites reduce enough, do larger changes. It's a bit weird that you don't have ammonia readings though. Are you sure about that?

I agree immediate water change.
How long has the tank been set up.
How many fish do you have in the tank, and which type.

Sounds like your water parameters are out.

What are your stats at ? Are you de-chlorinating your water etc before you add it ?

NB - Never let tap water near your tank or filters either (YOU probably already know that)

I think it might be a stocking issue so that why I want to know if there more than one goldifsh in the tank as they are massive waste producers.
