hi

i have just visited a new friends house for the first time to have a look at her tank
she told me she didnt know what fish she had but she has 9 of them in a jewel tank (i would say it looks to be about 20 gallons)
well they are tinfoil barbs all about 3-4 inches big , but look to be healthy in a very clean tank.
she said shes had these about a year :shout:
i know they should be in a bigger tank , i know there a little stunted could tell by the shape but still they looked very well and wanted me to give them food when i was near the tank.

now i told my friend how big these grow and all about them after looking up on the net, and she has offered them to me, i keep a 45 gallon tank, now im still not sure they would be ok in my tank, i have lots of tetras ,guppies, platies, mollies etc
she said she would swap them for some guppies etc.

but i think she would be better taking them to the lfs and swapping them there

what do you think

sharon

I had 3 in my 100G and they were only 6-7" but even at that size you could tell the 100G
was not bigenough for adults.
yes the best bet is to take them to a lfs :good:

thanks for that

i thought that would be the best way to go

i will have to go see neil at my lfs and see what he can do for her.

thanks again

sharon
