Need Advice On This Fish...

ive got a spacious 70+(around ther) so gallon tank, and i want a SINGULER fish to keep, instead of an oscar im thinking of being different

Found some babys of these at the LFS

and they are BRIGHT ORANGE. really healthy about 4"

1. could i keep them in my tank?

2. anything i should know about them?

3. anyone had them before?

umm a picture or proper name would give us a clue as to WHAT fish your talking about!!

Any way you could add a pic or the scientific name? The only fish I can find with the common name "Mozambique mouth brooder" is Oreochromis mossambicus, and they are blue.

I suspect dthoffsett is right - there is also a gold variety, which could be the fish in question.

yeh on a google search it shows all the differnt colour varietys.
the ones i can get are red and pink. very nice

please call the store and get a proper name for the fish youre interested in.
