Need Advice On Beach Pebbles Please

Hi, i have recently collected a load of quartz pebbles from a local beach and was wondering the best way to clean them, I have boiled them for half an hour and now they are in soak overnight, will these pebbles be fine to put into my tropical fish tank the next day or should i boil them again to make sure? Dont want any salt on these pebbles for obvious reasons any help would be much appreciated, many thanks!!

Boiling them should be just fine. Make sure they dry off for a couple of days, or for ever how long it takes them to dry. Make sure you do the vinegar test too. Put a couple of drops of vinegar on the rocks, if the vinegar fizzes, the rocks are no good. If the vinegar does not fizz, then they are okay to use.
