I need a fast growing full substrate covering plant. Plant must NOT require additional Co2 injection nor fertilizers. I have a 20g with 15w lighting plus I have a sand and marble dust substrate . I would love if there can be flowers in them.

I know I maybe asking too much, but you guys are veterans right :hey: ..... You are also free to suggest any other plant too, so that i can learn more about these small sub coverers.

PLease mention how to plant it and maintain it too!!

you know those plants like grass which cover the surface of the substrate  ...i am not getting the right words :/ ... but grass need CO2 injection and fertilizers

carpet plants? try java moss theres a good guide on here, youv got low light so co2 and ferts wouldent be needed anyway.

I've actually been meaning to start a thread on this. I'd like some kind of carpet plant but I'm not a big fan of moss.

Duckweed, amazon frogbit, and ludwiga repens

Fishy, I think crunch means surface of the sand, not surface of the water. The ones you mention are good water surface plants, but I agree that crunch is looking for Java Moss here. Pygmy Chain Sword covers pretty good, but does not carpet.

Oh okay, sorry. Dwarf hairgrass, java moss, flame moss, And x mas moss

I don't know if they are fast growing but I know that they are a good carpeting plant

theres not many low tech carpet plants your limited to moss's i think (well not that i know of) ... im struggling with hairgrass at 0.8wpg. you might have better luck

i guess java moss it is then....i wish i had some indian veteran member here :/ -_- , there are so many indian plants which can carpet too. there are so many species here in india because of favourable climate.

indian aquatic carpting plants? ... import them to the uk ? and sell them to make some money? just an idea there will be demand for low tec ccarpting...

i am not sure they will sustain the journey. any clue how to pack em good for it ?

no clue depends what plants you'v got over there, if theres any new ones from the wild which could be used in the aquarium i think there might be a market in other country's for them
