Need A Quick Fix

Hi, i managed to get somewhat of a bargain on a Juwel tank, problem is the lid and light unit are missing so ive decided to make a lid to tie me over. ive had a piece of plywood cut to measure. the wood is currently not treated and i was wondering what wood stain would be ok to use. Any ideas??

Why not just get a condensation tray from your LFS. They are around a fiver and you do not have to worry about anything then. Just a thought.

sorry, but to ask a stupid question, is this to fit to the wood or instead of it?

I was meaning either instead of it, or to go underneath it to stop it getting damp.

So that is 1 metre long isn't it. I used to have one for mine when I had it as I got fed up of the lights getting wet all the time, so they do make that size. If you can not find one, two smaller ones would fit.
