Hi all,
I've been reading this section of the forum for quite a while now, and i'd like to try my hand at planting my tank up.
So here we go;
I have a 10gallon setup with sand substrate housing only white cloud mountain minnows. The lighting i have is a 11W bulb, I know that 1W/G is considered very small in bigger fish tanks but i think this should be enough for at least some growth in a small tank such as mine.
From what i've read i don't think sand alone is an appropriate substrate for most plants, what should be added?
I was also wandering isf someone could do me the favour of telling me if i could possibly grow vallisneria or cryptocorynes? I'd also like java moss but i think i should have enough light for that.
I realise i'm asking quite a few questions and my setup is less than basic but all help is appreciated, and at least if i find out i can't grow anything really then i know what i need to do to improve my setup.
