Need A New Filter... Suggestions?

Oh Hi There! It's been a while since I've been around here.

I've got a 15 gallon "long" tank that I'm planning to convert to a small community tank. The filter currently on it is a Elite Hush 20 that I've been meaning to replace for about 8 months now. I've finally had enough of the filter, as it is constantly clogged, and needs to be cleaned minimum once a week otherwise it becomes completely useless.

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a new filter for this tank... I strongly believe in SERIOUSLY over-filtering my tanks, so all of my filters are for double the tank size, or more.

I've been looking at the standard AquaClear line of filters (which I love, but idk if I want another one), the new Fluval C3 power filters, Fluval U3 internal filters, and basically any other HOB filter out there .

I can't recommend Heheim Liberty HOB's enough, I've tried all three in the range, and have been very impressed. quiet, efficient and a the biggest capacity of any comparable model.

I rate tetratec ex range externals too,i have 3 of them,and easy enough to add your existing media into the canister to save running both

I would -LOVE- an external, but the tank sits fairly high off the ground (I have to use a step to be able to reach the bottom of the tank when planting and cleaning), so external hoses would be way too long, and there isnt really room for one to sit around the tank.

i would definetly recommend and internal from the fluval "U" range, (if there is enough room in your tank)
maybe go for the u2 or u3
