OK i've a 10 gallon tank with a Betta and a snail, well i think i still have a snail. He closed up last Friday {my tank is at work} didn't think too much of it, I've seen him do it before, but this morning when i came in he was floating at the top of the tank, and i noticed a new addition to my tank also, i guess there called hydras? kind of remind me of little anemones, tubes sticking off the rock with a branch of feelers at the end, i have a picture but i have to wait till i get home to post it.

Could this have killed my snail? I read there poisonous... could i get a pleco?
Would the hydras hurt it? would the pleco eat them?

i had one in my old tank i had to give up when i moved and it was only a 7 gal, so i know if i get a small one the size shouldn't be an issue for awhile and by the time that happens i should have the funds for a much bigger tank, im working with a glass guy on building a tank. so the pleco would have the opportunity to move to a MUCH larger tank in the future

i wouldn't reccomend a pleco in a 10 gal as they are high waste producers, you cuold have some dwarf cories or ottos

not sure on the hydra's though
