I would like to add a little to my tank, I could take on about 6 inches (full grown), so either a single 6" fish, 2x3" fish, or 3x2" fish.

The key is, they have to play well with Rosy's, and also not be picked on by the Rosy Barbs.

Any suggestions?

red eye tetra or bleeding heart tetra grow to 3" and would be fine with them i guess.. so would any tetra i THINK.. but if your looking for something a bit bigger then tetras.. dwarf gourami look cool :p i love them. they grow to 2"

as for a single 6 inch fish... hrmm maybe an angel? if your tanks high enough.

I was looking at a compatability chart, and found these that I like:
Kribensis Cichlid - would 1 be ok?
Swordtail - but it said they need a temp of 72-73? That's a pretty small range...
Rainbow Shark - Would they be aggressive to my Rosy's?

Any ideas? The fish store opens in 40 minutes! LOL! (I'm worse than a little kid on Christmas morning!)

cichlids are typically very territorial, so i wonder if a twenty-nine gallon tank that is also full with other fish will be enough space for a krisbensis, even though it is one of the more peaceful cichlids.

my platties are really mean to each other and my other species, but i've never had experience with swordtails specifically. it might be a mistake on my part, so you might have more luck/knowledge.

with rainbow sharks, i think a lot depends in individual personality and if the shark will accept living with barbs. i doubt they will because sharks typically eat anything small enough to fit into their mouths and although rainbow sharks only grow six inches, they might pick on your barbs when full grown. also, rainbow sharks need a lot of space because they're very territorial and what i have read says they like setting up several territories and will attack anything that invades.

Well, I ws planning on stocking for this tank, but I'm going to get another much bigger tank soon, and put these guys in there, I would love to see the Rosy's in action in a 75 gallon!

All of my fish are very young now, so I have plenty of room for at least 6 months or more, but the new tank should be up and running in 3 months or less.

I ended up getting 3 Zebra Danios and 4 Long-Band Rasbora's, who have all become great friends and rule the top of the tank together!

When i move up to the 75 gallon, I will get more Danios so they have at least 7 or 8 of them total, and if I can find more Rasboras like mine, I may get more of them in the bigger tank as well.

So, when the 29 is out of fish I may try the Kribensis, I'm not sure, as my mind changes every time I go to the store anyways! LOL!
