110g, currenty with 4 mandarins, 2 scooters, 7 green chromis, 2 B&Y damsels, 1 yellow tang, 1 yellow clown goby, 1 green clown goby, 1 hawkfish, 1 filefish, 2 bangaiis, 2 pj's, 1 orchid dottyback.

the chromis are ok, but we are looking for another schooler, preferably loud on the color. yes this is a FULL tanks, however, we keep losing the fish in the rock - as in we went to bla on the color choices...

so, does anyone know of a relatively mello colorful schooler? (anthias will get too big, unfortunately, and the B&Y's are too nasty to each other to increase their numbers. All other fish in the tank sing Kum-bay-ya all day long.

PS: you read it right 4 mandarins and 2 scooters, all fat and sassy....

i wouldnt add anything else to that. that volumes going to be something like a 4x2x2 isnt it? 25 fish in there is more than i would

I don't agree with over stocking either but looking at the list of fish most of them are small and will remain small. Without knowing how the tank is set up, how long it has been running, how experienced the keeper is, etc, etc I wouldn't be too quick to condemn. If they have managed to keep 6 dragonets healthy in the same tank for a good period of time then they are doing something right. In general though I would agree that its too many fish for the average tank.

To the original poster. Would love you know more about your tank and especially about the dragonets and your methods for keeping 6 of them fed. Also Welcome to the forum.

Trying to think of some smaller schooling fish that have a good splash of colour but none are really coming to me off the top of my head. I would recommend considering getting maybe another 4 or 5 green chromis as they do look amazing in a big group.

Maybe flasher wrasse might be a good choice (1 male/2 females), lots of choices amongst the flasher wrasses in terms of colours, they don't get huge and they are pretty mellow. Make sure you have a tight fitting lid though as they are jumpers.

I know what you mean about fish being lost amongst the rocks. Most of the fish you have I have kept and they do spend most of their time in the rockwork. We have a clown goby in out 50l nano which only has about 5kg of rock in and we still only ever see him for about 30 seconds a day when we feed him :)
