My 19 Gallon tank is looking like it needs a low to mid based swimmer and was basically after suggestions.

The tank is planted with bogwood.
I have about 5" of er, fish space!
Tankmates are all tetra's

I like the unusual

Let the suggestions begin

Cheers

What about 6 pygmy cories? They arent like most cories, they often swim around the lower third of the tank, not just always hanging on the substrate like other cory species do. They only grow to about an inch, and are great community fish.

Pygmy Corydoras

Pygmy Corydoras

yeah that'd have my vote too :)

The Pygmy's seem to be getting mine as well, would 6 fit? Or are they so small that the 1 inch rule is not as accurate so they would squeeze in?

Also how much roughly are they?

Thanks again

they're best kept in a group of 6 or more, it's a rule of thumb.... not a rule! (how many times have I said that today  ) i think stretching it by 1 inch to keep the fish in a number they're happier in is perfectly acceptable. :D

not sure how much they cost, doubt if they're more than a couple of quid each though. Most cory's are pretty cheap :)

What else do you have in there? I hesitate to make suggestions without knowing, but I have a rubbernose pleco and love him. He would be the perfect size.
