Nearly At End Of Cycle

Been doing a fishless cycle for about 5-6 weeks and just about seemed at the end of the cycle, noticed for the last couple of days when the water enters the tank from the filter (external) there seems to be tiny pieces of lime scale entering the tank with the filtered water(thought it was bubbles at first but these sink)any ideas on why this is happening?

I live no too far away from you so i would say its because you live in a hardwater area, you wil notice the limescale build up around the top of tank too. I wouldn't worry too much about the outlet (unless it gets really clogged) but i would occasionaly check the impeller of the filter and clean this every month or so, you dont want that to stop working.

look at the pipes leading to and from your filter aswell, as it could be alge thats built up in the pipes....
