Ok - just like to say thanks to minxfishy for helping me so much through the cycling :good:

My ammonia is processing in nearlly 12 hours, so im guessing in a week or so it wil be cycled.

Its the Elite Style 95 (95 ltr) with quite a big of oceon rock, and I want to stock it with cichlids.

Now originally I was wanting some Malawi cichlids for breeding but now im planning a planted tank so wont have enough time to breed them + my tank is to small.

So im just wondering if sombody could give me a list of nice peaceful cichlids (not angels though) that would do nicely in a 95 ltr and would get along with each other.

Thanks :good:

german blue rams :D (can be hard to keep, had mine for 5 months now, and doing fine, very peaceful) they need a higher temp at around 27-29 deg celcius
apistogramma's species tends to be very peaceful
Bolivian Rams (easier to keep than german blue, but not as pretty)
Kribensis you could try ^^

######, I love them but I hate the fact I can only keep two, such a big tank IMO lol. But rules are rules :(

How much are the GBRs and whats difficult about them then matey :) ?

haha, o well; maybe when you have a massive tank, stock it with Kribs xD

well, they prefer softwater, at around 6-7pH, i think mine is around there mainly due to Co2 lowering pH, but people have kept them in higher pH's, but the colors are shown to the best =] The tank should be mature as they cannot tolerate high Ammonia Nitrites and Nitrates; although i put mine in around 1-2 months of my tank being set up; seems i was lucky ^^ Thats mainly whats hard, they need good water quality etc, but good water changes a nice warm temperature should be fine! Mind you i have been looking for a pair, and have got a bllody hormone bred Blue Ram, so am gonna complain when i go to the LFS i got him/her from, it has both sex characteristics ><

=] hope i helped ya =)

I think my ph will be to high tbh. How many kribs you think I could keep in there..still just 2?

hey, sorry bout the late reply, been revising :)

you could keep a pair of kribs, but they can get very very territorial when breeding =]

have a look at cockatoo cichlids or apistogramma agasazzi :)

I've narrowed it down im either going for Kribs, cockatoo cichlids or apistos~

would i be able to have 4 females?

I have no knowledge of cichlids, but I just wanted to add a quick YAY that your tank is almost there, I bet you cant wait to get some fish now. Have fun choosing.
