Just curious what peoples opinions were on putting native insect larvae and inverts in tanks?

My Mums a natural history illustrator and we went on a hike this morning up to our farms furthest dam. Its about 20-30 years old and is fully mature unlike the other dams. I ended up fishing at least 200 shrimp (Paratya australiensis) out of it. They are really awesome creatures and I'd love to add them to one of my cold water tanks, or at least use them as live food for my oscar, since they're so abundant.

We also fished out at least a hundred other species out of the dam as well, some species of red mite, water scorpions, damselfly larvae, diving beetles (now they're cool), water boatmen and plenty of copepods, but its mainly the shrimp I'm interested in, but a few diving beetles would be cool to...

Oh and can I feed the damselfly larvae to my oscar? their nasty little aggressive things but the ones we fished out are only 1cm or so long...

if the waters clean id put them in

when i catch insects at home, i feed the to my oscar or angels and they've been fine so far.
I don't know about putting 200 shrimp in though, i'm sure that's not what you meant. If it's only a once in a while thing and the water's not polluted then sure, go for it
