National Geo Deluxe Programmable Light - Advice Needed

I have just bought a tank second hand, which came with a National Geographic Programmable LED Deluxe light (i think about 3ft). Upon plugging it in, I see no response at all on the light (nothing lights up, none of the buttons nor the actual light itself). I have no experience with this model, and am worried it may just be toast and need to be replaced.

If there’s anyone with any experience with this light, any and all advice is appreciated.

I have no experience with that light but will offer an opinion. The last guy got rid of it because it didn't work. Look at the buttons (left side of you image) and they appear to be broken. And the housing looks corroded and worn. My guess is water got inside and ruined the light. Personally, I would discard it and start new.
